After identifying slow ticket sales, I concepted and produced a culturally attuned video that authentically integrated Hamilton cast members into the local Hawaiian community. By featuring cast members learning Hula ʻAuana under the guidance of respected Hawaiian spiritual leader Kumu Blaine Kamalani Kia, the piece honored local traditions, resonated deeply with the Hawaiian community, and drove a 72% increase in ticket sales during Hamilton’s Honolulu run. The video became Broadway in Honolulu’s most-viewed Instagram post for multiple years and was reposted by Hamilton Broadway, reaching an additional 2.5M+ viewers.
